Welcome to my studio,
My name is Laeticia, Owner and Artistic Director of Laeticia Austin Dance Academy
I was born in Nelson, New Zealand and started dancing at 4 years old.
I loved all genres of dance and quickly became dedicated to ballet, jazz and contemporary.
Every year during school holidays my love for dance took me all over New Zealand for competition dancing.
In 2017 I attended McDonald College in Sydney for Summer School.
In 2019 I travelled to Europe, I was accepted into the Royal Danish Ballet Summer School, The London Russian Ballet School, Elmhurst and London Central School of Ballet.
From here I accepted a full scholarship with London Russian, where 6 days a week we studied ballet & contemporary with teachers from the Bolshoi Company, Mariniisky Company and Vaganova Academy.
During my time in the UK I also danced at Pineapple Studios & Sadler Wells Theatre.
In 2023 I came back to New Zealand, and recently have just completed my Bachelor of Music and Performing Arts.
My passion is to create outstanding technique for my dancers infused with passionate artistry so that my students can be prepared for any opportunities and goals they want to achieve.
With this we can compete nationally and internationally, having fun along the way too!
